OUR MISSION: Sandia High School's mission is to support students in their achievement of academic success, personal and civic involvement, and global awareness.
Sandia High School is one of thirteen comprehensive high schools and 8 Schools of Choice in the Albuquerque Public School district with approximately 1,800 students in grades nine through twelve. Sandia is accredited by AdvancED and by the New Mexico Public Education Department. We encourage students to take advantage of our many course offerings and opportunities.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB) is designed as an academically challenging and balanced program of education with final examinations that prepare students for success at the university level and beyond. The program is taught over two years (junior and senior year) and has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities. The IB Program is unique in that it provides a liberal arts, interdisciplinary education leading to a diploma, which is recognized throughout the world.
