Graduation Requirements
Students must have 25 credits in the following courses:
- English: 4 Units
- Math: 4 Units
- Science: 3 Units
- Social Studies: 3.5 Units
- Health: 0.5 Units
- Physical Education: 1 Unit
- Electives: 8 Units
- Career or workplace readiness, arts, or language course: 1 Unit
At least 1 but, any one, of the required units must be an
- Honors
- Advanced Placement
- Dual Enrollment
- On-line course.
Alternative Graduation Testing
Albuquerque Public Schools is offering Alternative Demonstration of Competencies (ADC) to meet the graduation testing requirements if a student did not pass all required exams after meeting the testing attempt requirements.
Required attempts for each exam are explained below.
Reading
Must take Reading PARCC ELA 11 - two (2) times before using ADC
Math
Must take Math PARCC Geometry or Algebra II- two (2) times before using ADC
Science
Must take Science SBA - two (2) times before using ADC
Writing
Must take Writing PARCC ELA 11 - two (2) time before using ADC
Social Studies
Must take Social Studies EOC - one (1) time before using ADC
